Fair raises over €6,000 for charity in two days

Once again, the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa has shown its commitment to charity by raising a record-breaking €6,102 for Beyond the Moon. As a result, another Maltese child will be able to enjoy a special, all-expenses-paid holiday away from the worry of hospitals and medication – bringing the total number of children that have been funded by the Corinthia Palace so far to 20 over the last 10 years. The funds were raised at the hotel’s annual Perfect Christmas Gift Fair held last month. Record numbers attended the event, with thousands flocking to visit the artisan stalls and boutiques laid out in the Corinthia ballroom, try their hand at the workshops and enjoy the varied entertainment and refreshments on offer. “This was definitely our busiest fair yet and we are so thrilled with the results,” said Marisa Xuereb, who coordinates the hotel’s fundraising work. “Donations were raised through a combination of efforts, including a raffle with generously donated prizes, and workshops including a cookie-decorating one for children led by some of our most creative chefs. “We are so grateful to everyone for their support and we are already looking forward to the next one,” Ms Xuereb...
