Discovering opera through the saxophone

The Strada Stretta Concept, under the auspices of the Valletta 2018 Foundation and the artistic direction of Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci, presents a classical music concert, Sax and Opera: No Way!, on Wednesday. The event features Ukrainian soprano Maryana Bodnar, accompanied by saxophonist Carlo Muscat. The classical repertoire includes: C. Gounod’s O Dieu! Que de Bijoux; Massenet’s Il est doux... il est bon; G. Rossini’s Assisa a’ pie’ d’un salice; A. Dvorak’s Mesicku na nebi hlubokem and Saint-Saëns’s Mon coeur s’ouvre à ta voix. The concert starts at 8.30pm in Strait Street, near LAB Crossover, close to Melita Street junction. Entrance is free.
