Għaxaq food and wine festival

The St Joseph Band Club of Għaxaq is organising a Maltese food and wine festival today and tomorrow. One will be able to taste horse meat, local pork, home-made ravioli and a Maltese platter, including peppered goats cheese, Maltese sausages, snails, bigilla (brown bean dip), arjoli (a local dip served with snails), olives and ħobż biż-żejt (Maltese bread with tomato spread and other ingredients). There will also be a selection of 14 wines by Delicata Winery. Entertainment will include folklore acts, The Crowns Band and Xarulu’.
