Din l-Art Ħelwa is organising a tour to Clapham Junction cart ruts in Siġġiewi, the largest and most well-known cart ruts site in Malta.
The two-hour tour on Saturday will be conducted by Gordon E. Weston, author of The Maltese Cart-Ruts Unravelling an Enigma 2010: Clapham Junction 3000 Years of Maltese Heritage 2015. Participants will also be looking out for examples of local flora.
The tour is recommended for reasonably fit persons and participants should wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat and bring a bottle of water. They are also invited to stay on for a coffee or tea after the tour and chat with Weston.
■ Participants are to meet at the Msida Bastions Historic Gardens on Saturday at 9am. Transport will be provided to the site.
Bookings will be on a first-come first-served basis. One has to inform the office when booking if one intends to stay on after the tour. Reservations on 2122 5952 close tomorrow.
