Sci-fi classic at The Pub

Cult movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers is being screened tonight at 9pm at The Pub, Archbishop Street, Valletta. This 1978 sci-fi classic, directed by Philip Kaufman and based on the novel The Body Snatchers by Jack Finney, stars a veritable pantheon of actors, including Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams, Jeff Goldblum (The Fly), and Leonard Nimoy (Star Trek). The film centres on a San Francisco health inspector (Sutherland) and his colleague (Adams) who discover that humans are being replaced by alien duplicates; each is a perfect copy of the person replaced, only devoid of human emotion.
