A feast of selected films marks another edition of the Children Cinema Day taking place today in cinemas around Malta and Gozo.
Fourteen films have been selected across a variety of popular genres. Screenings will commence at 9am and run until 7pm with admission prices reduced for the day.
The films classified for universal viewing (U) are: Pete’s Dragon, a fantasy adventure about a young orphaned boy who grows up in the woods alongside a giant friendly dragon; and animated features Finding Dory, the sequel to Finding Nemo about a fish with short term memory loss who sets out to find her parents; Ice Age: Collision Course, an adventure comedy which sees a group of creatures unite to fend off a meteor strike that would destroy the world; Ratchet and Clank, based on a popular video game about a pair of unlikely heroes who team up to save the galaxy; and Angry Birds, about a bird with anger management issues who must come to the aid of his island when pigs arrive to steal eggs.
