Concert to focus on environmental issue

For the second consecutive year, HSBC Water Programme – Catch the Drop will be organising a grand concert bringing to a close the activities of various school clubs it supported throughout the summer. The event on September 7 expands last year’s water campaign which supported the summer programme of the St Joseph Summer Club, Paola, which in turn incorporated the theme of water conservation in all its student activities. This year, the summer classes of St Edward’s Summer Club and Fantasy Island Club joined the campaign, too. One of the singers of the HSBC Water Programme songs, Junior Eurovision winner Destiny Chukunyere will be performing at the concert, which will also feature Maltese pop artist Franklin Calleja. ■ Water is Life: We Are In This Together will take place at Pjazza Teatru Rjal, in Valletta, on Wednesday, September 7.
