Turning stories into script

A two-hour session workshop by Kenneth Scicluna will explore the stories that have been selected from the Rima Artistic Project. He will delve into ways of turning these projects into film. Rima records migrant narratives and provides a space for stories and discourse about exile and migration, to make the voices of people who come from elsewhere heard and play a meaningful part in the European Capital of Culture narrative. In an increasingly interconnected world, the Rima project is important as it fosters an inclusive approach in which people of different backgrounds can work and create together. The aim of the project is to empower people who have had to seek a new life away from their country of origin, to express an aspect of their experience through the medium of film. During this workshop, questions on the collaborative process will also be addressed. The workshop is being held today at St James Cavalier at 10am. Entrance is free.
