The local council of Ta’ Xbiex, which is home to perhaps Malta’s largest array of embassies and official residencies, is once again organising the intercultural activity known as ‘Connecting Through Culture’.
The event, taking place on Sunday from 6pm onwards within the Yacht Marina car park, sees the involvement of all the embassies of the area, with each one hosting a food and drink stand or presenting an artistic performance on stage.
The evening’s highlight is a series of performances by local and international artists who will come to Malta exclusively for this event.
Piper Luke Pace, representing the UK, will open the show, followed by harpist Michelle Paris for Ireland, the Amadeus Chamber Choir, under the direction of Brian Cefai, for Malta, barrel organ performer Mari van Rooij for the Netherlands, soprano Tiziana Paratore for Italy, Allegria dancers for Spain, and traditional Libyan music to close the show at 9.30pm.
The main aim of the event is to offer visitors a taste of different food and culture from around the globe, thus celebrating diversity and connecting through culture.
This activity is supported and co-financed by the Parliamentary Secretariat for Local...
