Ivan Grech in first solo concert

Ivan Grech, frontman of renowned local band Winter Moods, will be performing in his first solo concert at Pjazza Teatru Rjal, Valletta, on August 19. This promises to be a different kind of concert which, besides featuring memorable hits written by the singer himself with Winter Moods, will also showcase songs that left an impact on Grech and influenced him through the years. “This is quite a huge step for me, something I have been meaning to do for a long time,” Grech said. “This concert will be a musical journey through time, where I will sing songs that motivated me to get into music and songwriting, songs that influenced my music career and make up the soundtrack of my life.” The concert will take the audience through some evergreen classics from the 1960s through to the 1990s, from Pete Seeger to Depeche Mode, from Elvis to U2 and much more. The audience is encouraged to sing along. Grech will be accompanied by Jeremy Micallef and David Cassar Torregiani on guitars, Conrad Dimech on guitars and keyboards, David Ciantar on keyboards, Robert Galea on bass and Raphael Tonna on drums.
