Musico-literary night in Żejtun

A musico-literary night is being held tomorrow on the occasion of the Żejtun Local Council Day. This event aims to promote the Maltese language with poems and stories that were shortlisted for the Żejtun Literature Contest 2017. During this event, the Ġieħ iż-Żejtun award will be presented. This award goes towards the individual who contributed to the benefit of Żejtun and its residents on a local, national or international level. Guest star of the evening is singer Janice Mangion, who will interpret her Maltese songs, including her latest release Kewkba, with which she placed second at this year’s Malta Eurovision Song Contest. ■ The event is being held at the Żejtun Parish Hall, Republic Square, Żejtun, tomorrow at 7.30pm.
