Restored 17th century oil painting on display

The newly-restored 17th century oil painting The Deposition of Christ by the Bottega of Mattia Preti is being put on display tomorrow at the St Julian’s parish church. PrevArti was tasked with the conservation and restoration work and restorer Pierre Bugeja will deliver a presentation on the painting. Originally exhibited in the old parish church known as Lapsi church, the painting will be on show in the parish church until this Sunday, after which it will be returned to Lapsi church. The presentation is taking place at 7.30pm and is open to the public.
